Two paths for fabric producers
As a fabric producer, your workflow depends on whether you receive material tokens from your yarn suppliers.
Path A: You receive yarn tokens
Your yarn suppliers are on Aware™ and send you tokens. You'll link their tokens to your fabric tokens (full traceability).
Path B: You don't receive yarn tokens
Your yarn suppliers aren't on Aware™ yet. You'll create fabric tokens with the material data you have.
Both paths work. Choose the one that matches your current situation.
Which path are you?
Path A: I receive yarn tokens from suppliers
Your workflow:
Add yarn suppliers as connections (Step 3)
Receive yarn tokens from suppliers
Create fabric token and link the yarn tokens you received
Send fabric token to your customer
This gives full supply chain traceability (yarn origin → fabric → product).
→ Follow Path A: Create Fabric Token (With Yarn Tokens)
Path B: I don't receive yarn tokens
Your workflow:
Add customers as connections (Step 3)
Create fabric token with your production data
Add yarn/fiber information manually (not linked to supplier tokens)
Send fabric token to your customer
This gives fabric-level traceability (composition, production, certifications).
→ Follow Path B: Create Fabric Token (Without Yarn Tokens)
Not sure which path?
Ask yourself:
Do your yarn suppliers use Aware™? (Check with them or search in platform)
Have you received any tokens from suppliers yet?
If YES to either: Follow Path A
If NO to both: Follow Path B for now
You can switch paths later. If your suppliers join Aware™ and start sending tokens, you can switch to Path A.
You've completed Step 3.5 ✓
Next: Choose your path above and continue to Step 4.
