When to create a token

Create a token after you finish production of a fabric batch, before shipping to your customer.

Typical flow:

  1. Receive order from customer (manufacturer)

  2. Source yarn/fibers, weave/knit fabric

  3. Production complete → Create token now

  4. Ship to customer and send them the token

How to create a token

Go to: Create > + Create Tokens

1. Add Fabric Details

Fill in the physical details of your fabric.

All fields marked with * are mandatory.

Fabric composition

Click "Add Composition"

A side menu opens. Declare what your fabric is made of.

For each fiber type in your fabric:

  1. Select material from dropdown (organic cotton, recycled polyester, etc.)

  2. Enter percentage (type the number or drag the slider)

  3. Sustainable? Toggle the switch ON if this fiber has a sustainability claim

  4. Select claim type (organic, recycled, etc.)

  5. If recycled: specify post-industrial or post-consumer

Example:
Fabric composition: 50% recycled cotton + 50% organic cotton

  • First entry: Recycled cotton, 50%, Sustainable ON, Recycled (post-consumer)

  • Second entry: Organic cotton, 50%, Sustainable ON, Organic

Percentages must add up to 100%.

2. Tracer Technology (Optional)

If your fabric contains physical tracer technology, toggle the slider ON.

Aware™ Tracer:
Select "Aware™ Tracer" and enter the Tracer Positive Scan Date. No need to upload a test report.

Third-party tracer:
Select "Custom," enter tracer name, and upload the test report.

No tracer? Leave the slider OFF and skip this section.

3. Self Validation (Prove Material Origins)

Self Validation proves the feedstock origin of sustainable fibers in your fabric.

This backs up your sustainability claims with documents.

Click "Add Self Validation"

For each sustainable source, provide:

Mandatory data:

  • Weight (kg)

  • Feedstock type (organic cotton, recycled polyester, etc.)

  • Feedstock supplier type

  • Supplier name and address

Mandatory uploads:

  • Invoice

  • Packing list

  • Proof of delivery

Optional but recommended:
Certifications, lab tests, additional documents

Declaration:
Enter your full name and check the box to confirm the information is accurate.

4. Company Compliances

This page shows your factory certifications (from your KYB profile).

[Screenshot: Company compliances checklist]

Checkboxes are ON by default = certifications will appear in the Digital Product Passport (DPP).

Don't want to show a certification? Uncheck the box.

Missing a certification? Add it through Settings > KYB Profile.

5. Review and Submit

You'll see a summary of everything you entered.

You've completed Step 4 ✓

Next: Step 5: Manager Approval →

Your manager will review the token data before it goes live. Once approved, you can send it to your customer.
