Sub-brands
How to create and manage sub-brands

If your company sells under more than one brand name, sub-brands let you keep each identity separate inside one AWARE™ account. Each sub-brand has its own name, logo and brand information, and its own Digital Product Passport (DPP) settings.
Before you start
You need a brand / product owner account on AWARE™.
When your account was created, we set up one brand for you using your company name. This is your main brand, and it is the default for every product.
Add a sub-brand
Click Settings at the bottom left of the menu bar.
Open the Brand page.
Click + Add.
Fill in the sub-brand details:
Brand name*
Brand logo* in high definition (we recommend a transparent background)
Circularity information (text, a link to a webpage, or both)
CO₂e Methodology
Considerations for CO₂e Benchmark
Water Methodology
Considerations for Water Benchmark
Brand data (an open field for any brand information you want to share)
Save.

Add the sub-brand location to your KYB
If the sub-brand operates from a different location, that location needs to be part of your KYB (Know Your Business) verification.
Go to Company.
Click the edit icon on the right and choose Request Re-Verification.
Your profile is on hold while we review it.
Add the additional location.
Let us know once you have submitted it, so we can approve your KYB.
While your profile is on hold, plan ahead if you have a purchase order to send. Ask your AWARE™ contact if you are unsure about timing.
Assign products to a sub-brand
Every product in your Product Library is linked to a brand. By default, that is your main company brand. To move products to a sub-brand:
Open your Product Library.
Click Assign Brand.
Tick the box at the top to select all products, or tick individual products.
Choose the sub-brand from the dropdown menu.
Give each sub-brand its own passport look
The name, logo, circularity information and brand data of a sub-brand appear on the DPP of every product assigned to it. DPP settings are per sub-brand, so each one can have its own colors, sections and level of supply chain visibility. See the Edit DPP page.
Good to know
Products keep your main brand until you assign them to a sub-brand.
Your sub-brand is assigned to your product in your Product Library.
After you’ve sent your PO, your sub-brand can’t be changed, because this information is locked in blockchain.
